The Art of Iron

Olá à todos!
Finalmente parei de preguiça e criei um blog pra mim. Já havia um tempo que sentia necessidade de expor melhor as minhas idéias e pensamentos a respeito de desenho, artistas e tudo o que eu venho aprendendo nos últimos prolíferos anos da minha vida no estudo e produção de ilustrações.


Antes de falar sobre o meu primeiro trabalho, que escolhi para postar aqui, gostaria de escrever um trecho que eu li uma vez num livro do Boris Vallejo, uma das minhas grandes influências e que vale muito a pena por aqui, principalmente como abertura desse blog:


  "The secret of learning to draw is in learning to see. The ability to paint is the ability to translate three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional ones. What you primarily have to learn to see is how the spaces relate to the masses. Let´s say you are working from a model who is posing with one hand resting on a hip. Not only must you consider  the shape of the arm itself, but the space between the body and the inside of that arm, the space around the body and the arm, and how all these elements relate to on another. (...) If you think in terms of how the different parts of the body relate, not only to each other but also to the surrounding area; if you are aware of the spaces between the parts of the body and outside the body and the distances between feet and knees and chest; then you really begin to "see" and start to get your figures in proportion."


Já há algum tempinho eu comecei a me interessar demais por Fantasy Art, conhecendo muitos ilustradores que atuam e atuaram na área e minha fascinação foi tanta que adotei o tema para o meu trabalho de conclusão de curso.


Espero que todos curtam o blog, que eu possa contribuir de alguma forma com quem aqui visitar e PRINCIPALMENTE que todos que visitarem possam contribuir com a melhora gradativa do meu trabalho e comigo mesmo como pessoa.
